[SOLVED] pacman fails for some repos (even officials)

## INTRODUCTION - PROBLEM DESCRIPTION A LITTLE FURTHER DOWN ##
I got a new computer and for a couple of reasons I wanted to go with a main Linux System (had some experience with a few distros during the last years but always got back to windows after some time).
Obviously my decision was to go with Arch-Linux after some investigation. After some four or five reinstallations I got my system running and are pretty happy with it for now. Anyway I am still in a individualization-phase (hardware issues and personal needs).
I am amazed by the awesome and helpful documentation and the Forum which already helped me a lot to solve some issues without the need of bothering anybody (It took me 3 days to where I stand now and I am amazed by how far I got as a almost bloody starter. GREAT THANKS TO THIS POINT !!!

## PROBLEM DESCRIPTION ##
So now the point where I got stuck and didn't find a solution that worked for me in the forum(s), on the internet or the documentation (I searched quite a lot but maybe just were searching wrong). So if there is a existing Thread I apologize and hope for a hint to the right site (may it be a thread, documentation-page or some free internet info).
I have read that there are differences between the repos so I want to stick mainly to the official ones. But I found some packages (especially realized and then tested it especially with packages from the "extra" repo; "core" packages seem to work fine).

I've ran with the installation of BlackArch on the system when I realized that there are still some Problems (first I had some issues with PGP but got it already fixed) and this was the moment, when the problem came up.

As example I chose these two, which I definitely want to install (I specifically were searching for some packages in extra after some failed attempts of installing various packages):

I did upgrade the mirror-list and it looks like this (as it was in the first mirror list I commented out all the servers) but this changed nothing:

pacman refresh an sysupgrade turns out with nothing to do (unfortunately I got german as language but it turns back that there is nothing to do)

And you missed the rules you explicitly aggrees to when you just registered on these forums.

You'll need to ask the black arch community if you need help. That said, despite there being a heading for it, there is no problem description here at all. The only output you show is normal and not an error message.

as the BlackArch installation failed I assumed that I still should be right in this forum.

The main problem is that packages are not found in the normal Arch extra repo (it happened with a lot of packages but I realized that it happend with every package from the extra repo) and as it is the Arch repo. Which is another reason why I posted it here.

Here are the two errors I forgot to mention:

[capitan@bigbang ~]$ sudo pacman -Q xf86-input-wacom
Fehler: Paket 'xf86-input-wacom' wurde nicht gefunden
[capitan@bigbang ~]$ sudo pacman -Q libreoffice-still
Fehler: Paket 'libreoffice-still' wurde nicht gefunden

I always do a query before syncing the packages.
but I almost always get an error: package XYZ not found

Do you think I should move to BlackArch - Forum without even having it installed properly ?

What instructions did you follow to initially install your system?

If you want help here, please look over our community guidelines in the wiki and in the sticked threads at the top of this subforum. Post output in English.

Though in this case it's clear what that output is. There is still no error there (edit: there is the word "error", but it's not a problem, you are asking pacman to show information about a package installed on your system, and it is replying that the package is not on your system). Please read the pacman man page. That is not saying the packages are not found in the repos, it's saying they are not presently installed on your system. There is no need to query before "syncing".

Possibly_missing_firmware_for_module_XXXX
This is expected behavior for the fallback-image. The wd719x and aic94xx firmware are not supplied by the linux-firmware package but as the warning only appears for the fallback image it means those modules were not detected as being required for boot. So not adding firmware to the initrd for modules that are not needed on boot is not an issue.

I have deinstalled the blackarch-components now and started to read the manual.
As I am a bloody beginner I did not start reading every manuals I found from the start to the beginning and just did it.

Actually my problem was that I missunderstood the pacman -Q command. I am sorry for this and my next posts are going to be in english exclusively.
Please forgive me for this fault. I'm really sorry to have bothered the community / you with this problem...

The sync works fine and I'm going to set the problem as solved and really want to thank you because I just was lost in the jungle because of this stupidity of mine.

It takes time to learn our community standards - I did not intend to chastize you for not knowing them yet, but rather point you to them so you could get up to speed. I used a couple of instructions but mainly followed the installation information on the ArchWiki installation Guide. It is just a lot of new stuff as I always had less contact with the distros I used before.

Thanks for addressing that. Black arch is a grey area (no pun intended). We do not support spin off distros on these forums, and often black arch falls into that category as many black arch users follow some "simplified" (and often broken) shortcut installation methods suggested by the blackarch community. In those cases, we send those users back there as neither we nor they have any idea how their system is set up.

In your case you have installed arch proper and are just adding the black arch unofficial repo. So you certainly are welcome to post here for help. But keep in mind that any problems caused by using that repo will not be addressed here. I'd advise against using an unofficial repo unless it is for packages that are very hard to build yourself - I'm pretty sure everything in the blackarch repo is available in the AUR.

While the AUR is not "officially" supported by arch devs, it use is supported by this community; you will get much more help here building and working with things you built from the AUR than you would from a third party repo associated with a spin-off distro. This is for at least two reasons 1) when building AUR packages, other users are more easily be able to replicate your steps and help troubleshoot, and 2) for better or worse, the mere mention of the blackarch repo will raise suspicion on whether you properly installed arch yourself (as it did for me at the start of this thread).

I think it takes a little time to get used to this as a former mainly Windows based User where there is almost always an Answer somewhere in the Internet is one of the new things. And it's a lot but I promise I'm going to be better in time. An finally I got a solution for my problem, so thank you a lot

Thanks again for that hint. Diving seriously into the World of Linux is a big change for me that I desired for a long time now but never took the time to do it (Corona made it's part) because I mainly had to complete some kind of tasks and a non-proper system did not help me in that which is why I always went back to Windows which I personally just want to avoid now in a complete way.

So the last days I recently learned about that there are more differences than just different distros but also the repo thematics, which is why I decided to go a step back from BlackArch (just sounded cool an interesting to learn to use and always was kind of presented like a fully - remember I came from Windows - system).
But actually I chose Arch for the sake of learning, being flexible and mainly pacman ( I love the concept)
