Lagging google chrome and opera when plasma compositor is on

Hi,

I've been trying to find a solution for over a week, but nothing works. When the Plasma Composer is enabled, the chrome and opera browser have lags in scrolling and moving the browser window. Firefox and other programs have no problem. The problem occurs dynamically when switching the composer CTRL + SHIT + F12 or compositor is enabled by default at startup.

I tried the following things:

- Increasing FPS in kwin (https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/8 … 1920x1080/)
- Changing the chrome flag (enabling Override software rendering list, disabling Smooth Scrolling and additionally testing other flags available in the log below)
- 20-intel.conf acceleration change to uxa / sna + TearFree + swapBuffer + TripleBuffer in various configurations
- Remove xf86-video-intel
- Disable vsync
- Disable all effects with enable compositor
- Set OpenGL 2.0 / OpenGL 3.0 / Xrender
- Overclock with cpupower and change the driver to intel_pstate / acpi-cpufreq

Re: Lagging google chrome and opera when plasma compositor is on

Did you try disabling in both of your browsers the hardware acceleration feature?

Re: Lagging google chrome and opera when plasma compositor is on

I turned off acceleration and no changes, in addition I reset all chrome flags to the default ones, but it also did nothing.

Maybe this video will be able to illustrate part of the problem
