After doing a complete upgrade via pacman -Syu on May 26th, Wine has issues rendering context menus for me.
5.6.14-arch1-1
xorg-server-1.20.8-2
wine-5.9-1
Window manager is qtile. Also tested on dwm.
Steps to reproduce:
$ export WINEPREFIX=/tmp/winetest1 WINEARCH=win32
$ winecfg
- Menu "Windows version" in tab "Applications" does not open correctly on click
- Menu "New override" in tab "Libraries" does open somewhat, but is misplaced
I downgraded wine until 5.4, but the issue is persistent. Also programs ran by Wine have menu issues, e.g. LTspice
Since there have been a whole lot of dependency upgrades this week, I'm having trouble to debug this. Reverting the whole system by putting
Server=https://archive.archlinux.org/repos/2020/05/02/
into /etc/pacman.conf makes the issue disappear.
Does anyone else see this?
Edit: On a different machine with similar setup, the issue is not present. Must have something to do with my current configuration.
Solved: Enabling Graphics/Virtual Desktop in winecfg makes the menus appear again. Also, after disabling Virtual Desktop, the menus are still showed correctly.
