Very high ping from Realtek USB Wifi Dongle

Hello

I'm very new to Arch so forgive me if I'm being dumb, but after finally managing to get my rtl8192eu drivers working, I've noticed that my ping is incredibly high, much higher than it was when I was on Manjaro.

For example, pinging 1.1.1.1 takes an average of 244ms, with a max of 683. However, my upload and download speeds are fine (according to speedtest.net).

I've done some browsing and found a few possible fixes:

sudo ethtool -s wlan0 speed 10 autoneg off

seems to temporarily fix this, but only sometimes.

sudo ethtool -s wlan0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg on

I can't reproduce anymore, but this command seemed to fix it for the first packet, then it returned to high latency.

Not entirely sure what other information to attach (I am very new), but I will attach the outputs of lsusb and lsmod as other threads have asked for that.

Strangely enough this seems to have resolved itself. I didn't do anything apart from changing to use Cloudflare's DNS servers and rebooting, so maybe that fixed it.
