Best emulation frontend for arch?

Hey folks, I like retro gaming and am curious what the most _current_ frontend for running an HTPC style gaming centric setup? I've been using kodi and would rather do an emulation-first focused HTPC configuration, whereas on kodi it's like the gaming components are just a piece and not the intent. I don't need any of the home-theater HTPC components (video streaming, for example) and would rather find something that looks like retropie, but for an x86_64 architecture.

Thanks!

Re: Best emulation frontend for arch?

This basically boils down to which libretro frontend (retropie is mostly that at the end of the day) you want. the reference implementation via retroarch is actively updated and the xmb variant looks quite passable imo.

I've seen emulationstation thrown around but that's quite dated apparently. Otherwise just google for libretro frontends and try the stuff you find.

Sweet deal. Thanks. I'll do some poking around this weekend and may as well follow up here with what I figure out.
