weird problem when I try to record my screen

Hello  people

I dont know how to explain that, I'm trying to record my screen first with Simple Screen Recorder and then with Kazam, the recording is going good, the desktop is showing up in the video but none of my activity is being caught, I mean I open folders, I open the browser, etc. and doesnt show in the video, just my desktop.

And its very weird because when I finish the recording, the video is showing me another wallpaper, that it doesn't appear when I was recording.

you can see, really sorry for the video, its just 10 seconds but you can see that I'm opening folders and other stuff and nothing is showing.

maybe is not so weird, I dont know
Any idea on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated
thanks

Re: weird problem when I try to record my screen

I don't know of the programs you mentioned, but if you have ffmpeg installed you may try this command:

ffmpeg -f x11grab -video_size WxH -framerate 25 -i :0.0 output.mp4

where WxH is your desktop resolution, for example 1920x1080.

What desktop environment do you use? How do you start/run it (what display manager if any)?

thanks for your answer. i was using xfce but i change it to cinnamon and all was working better there. it seems that the problem was compton, so i not resolve it, i think i try some many things that eventually i crash the operating system xD, i just change  the distro and the desktop environment.
