pwc and v4l2 compatibility

I want to run my webcam on ArchLinux using the pwc-drivermodule the same way I do it on Ubuntu. With Ubuntu everything just worked fine... the module was present in the kernel-tree and modprobing it automatically started the v4l2-common module as well and added a device-file in /dev/.
Arch didn't connect with the v4l2-common, so I installed the latest version of pwc which made no change at all. I can modpobe v4l2 manually but then there is no dependecy when checking with lsmod and there is no device-file.

Any ideas what I could try to do? I have read that the latest pwc-modules don't need any patching like the old ones and do include the v4l-compatibility, anyway?

They say if you reverse play a Windows CD you can hear satanic verses... But wanna know what's even worse? If you forward play it, it's gonna install Windows on your system!
