How to force wifi-menu to connect to 2.4GHz WiFi network?

I have a laptop with 'Intel Corporation Wireless 3165 (rev 79)' WiFi adapter.

I would like to connect to a WiFi network which supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

If I run 'wifi-menu' and select the WiFi network, it connects over the 5GHz band.

I would like to connect to the WiFi network using the 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz band.

I added the following line to the generated profile file present in /etc/netct/

ScanFrequencies='2412 2417 2422 2427 2432 2437 2442 2447 2452 2457 2462 2467 2472'

I got the list of frequencies from the output of 'iw list'.

After adding the above line, I observe that the wifi-menu connects to the WiFi network over the 2.4GHz band as I wanted.

I wanted to know if this is the way to force 'wifi-menu' to connect using 2.4GHz band or if there is a better way to do this.

If this is your own network, give the wifi networks different names if possible.

For example:

2.4GHz: MySSID_2G4
5GHz: MySSID_5G

Edit:
This sounds like an XY problem. If you have problems with the 5GHz network post a detailed description about the real issue.
