parallels workstation driver installation/compilation error

Installed parallels workstation throuh aur, which went just fine. then ran parallels-config
which was supposed to configure and compile the drivers, but got error..

will post the error message soon, anyone with parallels installed and working?

Can not compile and/or link drivers. Read /usr/lib/parallels/doc/INSTALL
and follow instructions specified in this document.

Configuration and compilation log is available at /usr/lib/parallels/comp.log.3062.error

The current stable version doesn't compile with 2.6.17 kernels. I told the vendor, they know the problem but they don't seem to care.
Their new beta version works fine though.
