Seeking some advice for adding Network Printer

Hey there,

i am failing by adding a network printer in our office in cups. The Printer is a Brother HL-L8250CDN. It is working properly from a windows pc from my colleague. Pinging from my machine works. However, I have tried it several times to add and configure it in cups without success. In the "Add Printer" menu of cups the printer is found when I can add it but it won't print a test page. I tried also by directly adding the printer via its ip adress by using https / ipps without success.

I've searched alot and tried different things. So I would like to ask for some advice how to tackle the problem in correct order. I think there is something I am missing.

Cheers

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
