startx hangs after removing pulseaudio

Hi everyone after removing the pulseaudio,pulseaudio-also package from my system and rebooting I can no longer start my X session it just hangs.
my xinitrc:

I tried reinstalling xorg-server and xorg-xinit but the problem is still there I also don't have anything special in my Xorg config just the default.
I also reinstalled pulseaudio to see if it would fix things but it didn't.
Can someone please help me figure what exactly is going on I don't wanna go through the pain of reinstalling again...

For a start, your xinitrc is incomplete. Read the xinit page on the wiki and fix that.

I changed my xinitrc but nothing startx just freezes

I don't think the issue is my xinitrc though the one I posted above was running just fine than 2 hours ago I removed pulseaudio I'm new to arch and already had this exact problem once before so I rebooted to see if my system is still okay and now startx freezes again...
I than reinstalled pulseaudio but it didn't fix anything

What if you exec xterm instead of i3? (Assumes the xterm package is installed.)

Same problem I think I will just reinstall again.
I just wanted to understand what went wrong why is it so easy for X to break in arch

I'm gonna say you did more than just removing PA - suspiciously, your kernel was updated during the last 3 days…
Next to #6, elaborate on the nature of the "freeze", see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 5#p1909935 and I'd also try to drop xf86-video-intel.
