External monitor not detected (Nvidia)

Hi!

I installed arch btw three days ago. But I had a problem with my external monitor so I just installed Kubuntu again. Now I want to try again but before I wipe everything ask if anyone knows what the problem could be.

As I said, only my internal monitor is detected.
If I run `xrandr` I only see my internal one.

I installed the nvidia drivers with `pacman -S nvidia`.
I tried running nvidia-xconfig but that also broke my internal monitor.

Any help would be appreciated:)

Edit: trying to do `nvidia-smi` told me that the drivers are not loaded.
`modprobe nvidia` says, that it can't find it.

Re: External monitor not detected (Nvidia)

What card? It's quite likely you have an optimus system so you should read the following link for setup information: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA_Optimus and decide for one of the outlined approaches.
