Right button of mouse only work sometimes

For some reason the right button of my Trust (brand) mouse only work sometimes - it's totally random. Sometimes it works for a period of time, then stop working, then it works again. I though it could be TLP (Advanced power management for Linux) but this issue exists even before I installed TLP. Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to help me identify what the cause?

Power saving wuld rather impact the entire device.
How do you define "works"? "xev"/"linput debug-events"

Have you googled whether the specific model is prone to lose switches/bouncing?
