xgl compiz cgwd themes & xgl functions

Edit-- found the cgwd in aur.. stupid me..

Cant find the cgwd package to install and use the compiz themes..
want to also know howto fix the background when turning around the desktop in cube mode i saw that it was possible to have a background behind the cube..

what is the slow mo effect? doesnt seem to work for me.. nothing happens when i run it..

installed th cgwd themer.. got this problem.. the themes dont show up. check the screenshot.

I've got the same problem too. Its really anoying the hell out of me because I can't seem to find any fix for it and google doesn't have much to say too... BTW, it seems to be a problem only in Arch.

that sucks... Ive been sitting with this now for about 5hours trying to fix it.. I guess i will revert back to gnome-window-decorator for now.. which i really dont want to do..

let me know if you find anything. its bugging the hell out of me..

the tar.gz files doesnt exist. ran the pkgbuild got this:

I've built those packages about 3 hours ago, and can confirm that PKGBUILDs work, but I had no luck with compiz - it segfaulted and I was too lazy to properly trace it, so I got tired of this and reverted back to metacity to wait for better times.

probably segfaults because you dont run it with dbus-launch.

try changing your startxgl script and start gnome-session with exec dbus-launch gnome-session.

it works just fine for me.

I use custom script, not startxgl, and, actually, I traced the segfault to reflection plugin, so I just turned it off and now have cgwd working perfectly. Anyways, thanks for your suggestion - if not for the urge to try your simple solution I wouldn't have tried to get cgwd working again.

Nice work Dalius

I recently (today) found something very annoying that was working fine the first days.. I dont know why but now when i right click mouse it zooms.. even when i try scrolling firefox it zooms.. And sometimes i have noticed it changes desktop (cube effect) automagically without me touching either the keyboard or the mouse..

Its especially annoying to not be able to use the damn right click mouse and scrolling..

any ideas

You didn't start gnome-window-decorator did u?
Compiz alone ain't enough, alwais run gnome-window-decorator after compiz.

your not supposed to run gnome-window-decorator.. cgwd is supposed to replace it.
