sway is unable to create backend after update

Hi,
after I have updated my laptop and rebooted, sway no longer starts. Usually I started it with $sway via the tty session. Now I get the following error:

My X and the corresponding i3 is running fine. Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution to my problem, or am not even really sure what the problem is. I also tried other wayland based display manager, but they don't start with the same error. I tried to solve it by updating the packages to the git versions, but that was without success.
