gnome-shell dumps core occasionally on window view

Hi all,

I've been having this issue since I installed Arch about a year ago, which is relatively infrequent but nevertheless annoying. I use the overview (aka window view) frequently to switch windows. It works really well, except *very occasionally* (maybe once every few weeks) it causes GNOME to freeze. There seems to be no common thread to when this happens other than activating window view, and this issue has persisted across multiple system upgrades. I am currently using GNOME 3.36 (with no extensions) on Wayland, arch kernel version 5.6.13.

When I examine the journal, it has any entry like (e.g.)

Jul 05 23:17:24 computer-name systemd-coredump[841125]: Process 1754 (gnome-shell) of user 1000 dumped core.

                                                      Stack trace of thread 1754:
                                                      #0 0x00007f7bcc0502e5 n/a (n/a + 0x0)

followed by many apps complaining "Error reading events from display: Broken pipe"

Any ideas how to go about debugging this?

Thanks.
