Pulseaudio microphone unplugged when headphones plugged in ThinkpadX1

Hey folks,

When I plug in my headphones, pavucontrol shows my internal microphone as unplugged and my microphone stops working. Mircophone works fine when headphones arent plugged in. I've tried adjusting settings in pavucontrol and amixer but I cant seem to get my headphones to work with my internal microphone.

There seems to be two devices that it detects. Monitor of Built-in Audio Analog Stereo and Built-in Audio Analog Stereo. I disabled the monitor in pavucontrol but it made no difference.

I took some screenshots  of pavucontrol and posted some output. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Another strange thing that happens is that when I select the alternative Microphone, the dB bar moves as per the audio output (playing in my headphones). I tested this by playing some music. The bar moves when I play music and stops when I stop the music. See below
