keepassxc 2.6.0-1 & i3

aur/i3blocks-contrib 1.4.0-4
community/i3status 2.13-3
community/i3lock 2.12-2
community/i3blocks 1.5-3
community/i3-wm 4.18.1-1
community/keepassxc 2.6.0-1

KeepassXC worked and looked just fine till the latest update, am I missing some package or is the latest version just incompatible with i3? I've tried removing settings but at the current state operating even a pre-existing db, adding new items, editing pre-existing items is next to impossible.

Re: keepassxc 2.6.0-1 & i3

I don't have any problems (only diff is I have i3-gaps).

Like what?

Also:  did you try something as simple as $mod+f (toggle fullscreen)?

Re: keepassxc 2.6.0-1 & i3

ktjao: I don’t know about i3, but KeePassXC UI undergone a considerable rework for this release. In particular sizes of many elements were changed to take more space. Since it seems something goes wrong with UI dimensions, perhaps try a workaround (not a solution): set the UI to the old sizes. In the “View” menu, select “Compact mode”. If you can’t access it in the UI, “keepassxc/keepassxc.ini” in the config directory:

[GUI]
...
CompactMode=true
...

Doesn’t solve the problem, but perhaps will let you at least use your password manager.

Re: keepassxc 2.6.0-1 & i3

Seems from the bug report referenced by @pekka, that HD displays are affected.

Posters:  verify (and properly set) Xft.dpi in your ~/.Xresources file.

That could be why I don't have this problem...that's been set in my .Xresources since forever.

Re: keepassxc 2.6.0-1 & i3

I tried various suggestions with no luck, including Xft.dpi, however snap-version of KeePassXC works flawlessly.

Re: keepassxc 2.6.0-1 & i3

set Xft.dpi: 96 in  ~/.Xresources file
works fine

load settings ( xrdb ~/.Xresources)
check settings ( xrdb -query -all )

Had the same problems, fixed by the same thing. Added the .Xresources workaround to the wiki.

These issues are documented on the HiDPI page. Especially pay attention to the Qt 5 section.
