Hi everyone,
Long time reader, first time writer.
I'm having a bit of a strange issue, and I think it may be a bad motherboard, but I wanted to run it past the community to see if there is anything I may be missing. Of note, I last was able to boot the computer at the end of 2019, so I have been bashing my head against a wall on this for a bit now.
Anyway, back in December (after an update, I believe), I tried to boot, and out of the blue, I could not boot, and I was stuck at the message:
Loading Linux linux...
Loading initial ramdisk...Naturally, I thought it was a bad update, so I tried to use the fallback image with no dice, and I tried to boot into a LiveUSB, and that wouldn't even boot. I tried a couple of other USB images, just to be sure and nothing. Then I tried to edit the grub boot script to disable video acceleration.
In any case, I have a feeling that I have a bad motherboard, but I wanted to see if there was anything else that I may have missed. Thank you!
