The checksum is different on the archive, too. This means that upstream changed a public tag. Blame them for doing something so stupid.

Which means building it from the current official PKGBUILD won't work and you should get in touch with the maintainer, create a bug report and/or post on the respective mailing list.

imo it's also not a good idea to create a package from a version that it's not officially released yet

This wouldn't be the first time an RC or wild git tag finds its way into the repositories. It's just that you noticed it this time.
