ERROR: Device UUID=</ the root partition> not found after installation

Here is the error message after Arch installation.

https://i.postimg.cc/4xSCZ1F5/IMG-20200721-101114.jpg

I first got this similar error on kernel parameter "resume=UUID=..." of swap partition, and the root partition after "pacman -Syu" upgrade in Manjaro system.

I in the energency shell, I execute command "cat /etc/fstab", it's empty. Then I boot Manjaro Live USB stick. I check this fstab file, It's original file. weird here.

Then I searched this error, some answer said this is because of partition changed UUID, so I did re-generate fstab again, but the UUID in new fstab still same. Reboot to system, still same error.

Then I try to re-install system with Manjaro live USB stick, after installation, still got similar error.

Then I try to re-install system with Arch official ISO, still got same error....

OMG, what a weird problem.

BTW, I also recorded down my Arch ISO installation steps on paper. I uploaded those images online if you want to watch.

This is going to be really tedious if you keep posting pictures.

Not to mention ignoring certain information requests.

Re: ERROR: Device UUID=</ the root partition> not found after installation

sorry about posting images. Because I can't connect netwrok with iwctl in arch-chroot. So can't use pipeline to paste output. It's in a MacBook Pro computer which has this problem, I have to use camera to record the error then post on this forum from another deaktop PC computer.

Which file do you mean for bootloader config? Grub /etc/default/grub? Or /boot/grub/grub.cfg?
