Cinnamon often gets blackscreen after logging in

Hi, first post here.
Around a week ago, i installed arch with cinnamon, and it worked well. Past a few days (without any update) i noticed that sometimes, the screen would get black (and i dont know if hanged) after logging in (like after writing the passwd and pressing enter) and i had to reset, even change from cinnamon to cinnamon with software render (or viceversa). That should be it, a reset, but it is really annoying and i dont want to lose data or anything like that. gnome does not have this problem. Also, it seems that this only happens in the first login (after booting up), and if i log out and log in again i dont see this problem. I run under virtualbox 6.1.12 with VMWare controller, ~/.xsession-errors does not exist and there are no xorg logs in /var/log (i think that was the place, correct me if im wrong), xf86-video-vmware and vbox guest auditions are installed.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Cinnamon often gets blackscreen after logging in

(well, seems i forgot to ask in my last post) What could be causing this problem? I can't get to an answer, since there's no log or anything to see why this happens
