On an X260 (Intel GPU), the external display turns black for a second

I've got a Thinkpad X260 with an Intel GPU. The external screen (resolution 3440x1440) switches off and on for half/one second infrequently. Neither Xorg log nor journalctl have anything related to them.

And dmesg?

Tried different cables, different connection port, different screen...?

Any troubleshooting?

There's nothing to help if you cannot provide any information about the problem.
