Hello,
I am currently experiencing issues with (what I suspect) is the AMDGPU driver on my laptop.
My laptop has a rather uncommon hybrid graphics setup with an AMD Ryzen 9 4900H cpu with built-in radeon vega graphics and an NVIDIA RTX 2060 discrete graphics card.
Currently I'm using a PRIME render offload configuration with the xf86-video-amdgpu and nvidia-dkms graphics drivers.
Sometimes when my display turns off due to inactivity it starts flickering at a regular interval when turned back on.
I'm also experiencing random crashes/freezes.
I suspect that the AMDGPU driver is the culprit, as the AMD card is the primary graphics card while the NVIDIA card is only used in more intensive workloads, and problems only occur when the AMD card is in use.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks.

Are you using latest firmware[1] ?
Is this with the built-in screen or an external screen ?
post full dmesg and/or journal [2] , also xorg log file [3].

Those logs are probably big, use a pastebin client .
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

I have come across this article on Gentoo Wiki https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/AMDGPU#Pri … ronization. According to it it might be related to a lack of support for modesetting in AMDGPU.
