Hey,
I'm attempting my 2nd Arch installation.
I'm following the guide (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dm … lume_/home) on LUKS on LVM, and I have a question.
The author never makes a filesystem for /dev/MyVolGroup/cryptswap or /dev/MyVolGroup/crypttmp (nor does crypttmp show on the partitioning scheme). Am I correct in assuming that I need to do that?
Cheers,

A swap partition doesn't have a file system by definition of what it is and the crypttmp setup assumes that the /tmp directory will be setup as a tmpfs that lives in your RAM and is cleared on shutdown regardless (.. and thus not a physical partition of your device). So no you do not need to do that.
