[SOLVED]How to block keyboard device

I'm planning to buy a new keyboard to replace the old one built in my laptop. And I would like to know how to block the old keyboard device.
AFAIK the keyboard may disconnect and connect again.

Re: [SOLVED]How to block keyboard device

I'd first disassemble the keyboard and check the state of the connector (it's typically one plug w/ a flat cable) but if you *replace* it, you don't have to block it at all.
If you plan to use the notebook w/ an external keyboard and keep the internal (that's cumbersome, isn't?) you could use "xinput disable …", but if the keyboard re-connects, you'll be in the same situation as before.

If you can identify the keyboard w/ an InputClass/MatchProduct/MatchVendor configlet, you could

Option "Ignore" "True"

it.

I removed "[SOLVED] " because I'm not sure I understand.
You wrote "Option"Ignore" "True"" but where shall I find such a config file?
To make it clear, I've bought an USB keyboard and I don't want to keep the internal one because it's broken.
