Is there a mail notification tray applet that actually works?

I am currently using gnubiff. But the notification popups only work once and all subsequent ones are just a white bar. It also doesn’t seem to be actively maintained anymore.

I’ve also tried mailnag, but that doesn’t save the account settings.

The applet should support multiple mailboxes, imap idle and be able to execute an external command for new mails.

That looks like a notification daemon, not something that checks for new mail.

You can try bubblemail, it's my own mailnag fork available in the AUR repo

I tried it but you can not add an imap account. It just displays a loading circle and nothing happens. »Cancel« does not cancel it – it needs to be killed. I wanted to report a bug but i have no »Framagit« account. I wanted to create one but it needs admin approval, which did not happen so far. Login via GitHub and GitLab does not work either.
