I normally use a headset for audio on my computer, but occasionally use my TV's speakers to play out loud. About a month ago, audio stopped working, and I assumed it was the TV, but recently I have been able to play audio using my laptop (also running arch).
What I have done:
Physical:
I have tried different HDMI ports on the TV and my computer's graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060) as well as different HDMI cables. I have had no problem using any port or cable with my laptop (arch).

... (other cards are my motherboard aux audio and headset)I have tried changing the profile of the output (I tried them all) with pacmd. The profile defaults to output:hdmi-surround-extra5, but I currently have it set to output:hdmi-stereo-extra5 (using "pacmd set-card-profile alsa_card.pci-0000_01_00.1 output:hdmi-stereo-extra5" which I think is what it should be). Notice that in ports, hdmi-output-5 has 'device.product.name = "SANYO LCD"' which is the name of the TV I am using.

I don't think I changed anything relevant about my system, so I think it stopped working during some update. Seeing as audio works fine with my headset, and that my graphics card isn't particularly old, I doubt it is a hardware problem.
