[Solved] Filesystem of installation environment is temporary?

I'm using Arch for quite a lot of years and I finally decided to dive deeper on how things work.

What I'm trying to understand right now is if the filesystem of the installation environment is temporary or not. For example if I boot the environment of the Arch Linux installation, and create a file without chroot to an installed filesystem, will this file be there if I reboot and boot again into the installation environment?

Right now I don't have a usb or cd with an arch Linux installation so I can't test it... What my common sense says to me, is that the file will disappear after rebooting.

Does this mean that the filesystem of the installation environment lives only in ram?

Temporary: yes.
Will the file remain: no.
Only in ram: yes.

You can create a persistent system on a flash drive (there is a wiki page specifically for this) and use that for installations, but the normal iso is an iso, a read-only filesystem.

Thank you!!! I was searching for these answers for Hours on the internet and couldn't find them! It's really useful to know about this.

Now I'm trying to understand initramfs. I exhausted the wiki pages, and YouTube videos and I'm almost certain that I understand it but I might come back with another post just to make sure.
