File names not displayed properly

I have an NTFS hard drive mounted on my system using ntfs-3g

Whenever I do

ls

in one of the directories the file names are not shown, instead being replaced with solid box characters like this ▉▉▉▉▉▉▉

What could be the cause of that? How do I fix this?

Probably related to your locale and/or vconsole.conf. The filenames contain glyphs not supported by whatever terminal settings you have there.
