[solved]Problem with ssh authentication on AUR

Good Morning,
from the upgrade of the servers, https://www.archlinux.org/news/aur-migr … -hostkeys/ I'm experiencing some trouble uploading the PKGBUILD;

when I run

git push origin master

The authenticity of host 'aur.archlinux.org (95.216.144.15)' can't be established.
ECDSA key fingerprint is SHA256:uTa/0PndEgPZTf76e1DFqXKJEXKsn7m9ivhLQtzGOCI.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no/[fingerprint])? yes
Warning: Permanently added 'aur.archlinux.org,95.216.144.15' (ECDSA) to the list of known hosts.
aur@aur.archlinux.org: Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Impossibile leggere dal repository remoto.

Assicurati di disporre dei privilegi d'accesso corretti
e che il repository esista.

this suggests that my keys are not good any more, but running

ssh-keygen -R aur.archlinux.org

my ~/.ssh/config is

Host aur.archlinux.org
  IdentityFile ~/.ssh/aur
  User aur

could someone please suggest me what I'm doing wrong?

Re: [solved]Problem with ssh authentication on AUR

I read skimmed the post on my phone and saw the SHA256 hash which reminded me of https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/a … 30042.html and thought it was related.

Make sure your public key is correct on your AUR account, with no extra linebreaks.

(I removed a line for security reason)
It says private key, shouldn't it be public? It also ends with these two "==" characters, it is normal?

It is ok to use 'aur' as user as it is publiched in the wiki, or that is just an example?

Re: [solved]Problem with ssh authentication on AUR

The private key should never leave your computer, the hint is in the name. You are supposed to copy the public key (i.e. id_rsa.pub) to your AUR profile.

EDIT: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AU … entication

Re: [solved]Problem with ssh authentication on AUR

As you gave out over 95% of the private key,  I would suggest generating a new key pair.

Re: [solved]Problem with ssh authentication on AUR

@loqs: thank you for the suggestion, I already did it yesterday.

I would like to know, in my profile on the AUR site I should insert the ElMastro.pub key?
And so modify the ~/.ssh/config file with the ElMastro user, so that I can login with

ssh ElMastro@aur.archlinux.org

,
is that correct?

Re: [solved]Problem with ssh authentication on AUR

No. There's a generic SSH / Git user for the AUR called aur.
The user context is identified by the SSH pubkey.

And to emphasize it again:
Do not use the private key you posted above anymore, anywhere, ever.

Re: [solved]Problem with ssh authentication on AUR

Thank you schard (and to the other also), this helped me a lot:
I regenerated the key, changed the .ssh/config accordingly, copied the key in my profile and now

$ ssh aur@aur.archlinux.org
PTY allocation request failed on channel 0
Interactive shell is disabled.
Try `ssh aur@aur.archlinux.org help` for a list of commands.
Connection to aur.archlinux.org closed.

it seems to work.
