Konsole automatically loads upon startup

A few days back I had installed Microsoft-teams from AUR. During that installation, I had opened the Downloads directory in the terminal. But now, that terminal always loads upon startup. I initially thought there might be some problem because of the zsh shell but I uninstalled it, still the problem persists.

My Desktop environment is KDE plasma.

I also checked the auto-startup tab under system settings but nothing regarding the terminal was found.

Can someone give me a headstart as to how to approach and fix the problem?  I am unable to figure out which directories or files needed to be checked.

The output of echo $TERM

 >> echo $TERM
 xterm-256color

Re: Konsole automatically loads upon startup

Okay, it was turned on, so I set it to ' start a new session ' and that indeed solved the problem, but I didn't understand why only that specific terminal in that directory loaded up always. Because

1. I closed the terminal, killed all processes, and started the machine, still the terminal loads up.
2. Why not any other program, because when I reboot the machine, some other programs like the chromium browser, etc were also open?
3. Under the 'Desktop Session' tab, there is a 'Default Leave Session' which was set to 'End Current Session'. So under that specific condition, it should kill all the processes, and also as I stated in (1) I had closed the terminal but still it would load upon startup or reboot(both).

Could you please help?

Not sure -- I don't use KDE.  I have just seen that problem with sessions being restored before. Maybe a real KDE user has more insight.

Re: Konsole automatically loads upon startup

Have you looked at your ~/.config/autostart? Maybe there's an entry there. Also perhaps in /etc/xdg/autostart.
