NetworkManager not detecting wifi after suspend

Hi I am new to Linux and Arch Linux, so forgive me if this question is trivial.
When I first boot up the system the network manager automatically connects to the wifi as intended. However, after I suspend the system and resume it, the network manager seem to not detect any networks. When I reboot the system, everything works again.

Here are the outputs when connected to wifi:

[smao@macbookpro ~]$ iw dev
phy#0
	Unnamed/non-netdev interface
		wdev 0x2
		addr ce:37:96:49:9d:f5
		type P2P-device
		txpower 31.00 dBm
	Interface wlp3s0
		ifindex 2
		wdev 0x1
		addr ac:bc:32:b3:ea:b9
		ssid SpectrumSetup-29
		type managed
		channel 6 (2437 MHz), width: 40 MHz, center1: 2447 MHz
		txpower 31.00 dBm

[smao@macbookpro ~]$ sudo rfkill list
0: hci0: Bluetooth
	Soft blocked: yes
	Hard blocked: no
1: phy0: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no

Here are the outputs after suspend when not finding any networks:

[smao@macbookpro ~]$ iw dev
phy#0
	Interface wlp3s0
		ifindex 2
		wdev 0x1
		addr ac:bc:32:b3:ea:b9
		type managed

[smao@macbookpro ~]$ sudo rfkill list
0: hci0: Bluetooth
	Soft blocked: yes
	Hard blocked: no
1: phy0: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no

I have looked at several forums with similar issues, but none of their solutions worked for me. I tried to restart the Network Manager with "sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager.service"; I updated my kernel, and I installed crda and wireless-regdb.
