Not sure what to look at to try and debug this. This happens even if I'm not running under X -- just plain old text console.
I do know this broke with the most recent kernel and headers install after I updated the system from 5.7.9 and to recover I ran:
pacman -U linux-5.7.9.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
Looking in various logs I don't see anything wrong, no errors that I recognize anyway (except libvirtd coredumping a lot). It does seem that the system is coming back up from sleep, things wake up and the system is responsive to my CTRL-ALT_DEL to reboot.
Not sure how to proceed in debugging what is going on here. Appreciate any help/guidance

I have the same problem. I found that switching to another VT and back again restores the display.

I reinstalled 5.8.3 and tried this but it didn't work for me. I'm wondering if this is some sort of video driver regression as my keyboard input is working just fine just the monitor remains dark and unitialized -- I see 5.8.4 is out, I'm going to give that a try and see if that fixes this.

So 5.8.5 was out so I upgraded to that and that has apparently solved the issue. Screen comes back up after S3 sleep just fine now.
