I've installed Arch with PulseAudio on a Lenovo ideapad 320 a few weeks ago.
All was perfect until I realized my microphone was not working on Microsoft Teams. Then I tested the microphone in Firefox. Only static noise, my voice was vaguely sounding. arecord? Errors. After studying the wiki and other threads, I made a lot of things that didn't work.
But when I installed Audacity and recorded with pulse instead of the other options, it worked very fine. So I installed the alsa configuration for PulseAudio and now arecord works fine in stereo, but the stereo channels cancel together when I'm recording mono. I tested microphone in Zoom. It works.
Nevertheless, when I tested it in Teams, it did not work. Same on Firefox.
I don't know yet how audio works in Linux, but I guess Teams and Firefox are not recieving input from PulseAudio, or they are trying to record in mono.

This one had me stumped on my 320 as well. Sorry I don't have my 320 anymore for screen shots. open the audio mixer and under recording devices (skype, teams or the browsers that is open and in a audio chat session, unlock the right and left channels, lower the right channel to zero and the set the left at about 30-40%. If using a package like Skype you may need to disable the auto volume adjust to stop it from resetting everything you've done. Hope this helps. If I find some of the original threads that helped me I'll update this post.
the wiki has a section the fixing mic (though I didn't use the first link, just set in pulse mixer) and on disabling mic boost.
