Hello,
I just had a fresh install on DELL XPS 13(9300), I noticed the wifi connection isn't stable, and went to check the journal and saw lots of iwlwifi error messages every couple minutes -

I'm kind of lost, and have no idea whether it is a hardware issue or a firmware/driver issue, how should I fix it?
Appreciate any suggestions.

Have you had anymore luck? I also got a Dell XPS 13 (9300) and wifi works great when plugged in, but constantly drops out when unplugged from power. I don't have the same microcode errors as you, though.
I only recently confirmed the power thing. I start a download of a large file unplugged from power, it freezes at some point, I plug in power and it magically resumes. I suspect it's related to the "Dynamic MIMO Power Save" issue mentioned here: https://support.killernetworking.com/kn … sconnects/. However, those instructions are for Windows and I haven't figured out how to disable the power save in Arch yet.

Hi there, I have the same issue on my Dell XPS 15(9500). I'm running 5.7.14-1-MANJARO, and the wifi connection is unstable.
I tried several tricks but nothing worked. I read somewhere that using a wifi usb dongle would work. Has anyone actually tried ?

Not for me. I am now on kernel 5.8.4 and still no improvements. When unplugged from power, the wifi still disconnects. Only way to fix is to plug in, or turn wifi off and then back on again.
I'm going to experiment with changing power settings in the BIOS next.
