Darktable and AMD RX550

Hello,

I would like to upgrade my old graphic card with a new AMD Radeon RX550 to be able to use OpenCL with Darktable photo processing.

- So is there someone who can confirm OpenCL is working with no trouble with this hardware and the free open source driver?
- Any other hardware advise?

Re: Darktable and AMD RX550

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GPGPU

darktable – OpenCL feature requires at least 1 GB RAM on GPU and Image support (check output of clinfo command).

mesa-opencl on amd cards doesn't have image support

The proprietary opencl-amd does and tends to work well together with the opensource driver.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
