New Ethernet Adapter Freezes My System

I bought this Ethernet Adapter. When I plug it in, I am able to get internet connectivity. However, after a short period of time, if I try doing any network activity I am unable to get any network connection. Also it freezes my system. I looked in the logs and I can see this:

ModemManager[901]: <info>  [base-manager] couldn't check support for device '/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.4': not supported by any plugin

Do I need to install some special drivers or something?

Re: New Ethernet Adapter Freezes My System

That looks like a USB hub with an ethernet to usb adapter as extra.

Is it plugged into an USB 3 port ?
please post lsusb -tv with and without the hub plugged in.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
