[WORKAROUND] archiso - How to clean build

Before I consider opening a feature request on the bug tracker, I'd like to ask here, whether I'm missing an option of mkarchiso to perform a clean build.
Currently, when I build an ISO using

mkarchiso -v .

it will put some stuff to assemble the ISO inside a directory called "work". That's fine.
But if I change something, e.g. a script inside airootfs/usr/local/bin/ and attempt to re-build the ISO, it'll just print the project info and exit.
In order to force a new build, I currently (have to?) remove the "work" directory before invoking mkarchiso again.

I remember from makepkg, that it has a clean build option (-C) but I could not find anything like it in the help output of mkarchiso.
Am I missing something? Do you think this is worth a feature request?

Workaround
I currently use a wrapper script that handles the (temporary) directories for me.

Wow they changed it a lot in just one month...

There’s no way to make it clean build at the time of writing, and [cC] are already used...

Now they have the -w flag, you could wrap mkarchiso with a script that makes a workdir, use it with -w, and when it finishes wipe it.

You could also make it a tmpfs, if you have spare ram for the task.
