QEMU stuck on blinking cursor when launching Windows 10 installer

I've been trying to use QEMU (pure) to create a Windows 10 virtual machine, and I keep running into an issue where QEMU's GUI will launch, but then shows the Windows 10 boot screen for a fraction of a second and turns into a blinking white cursor. Searching on Google does not yield a solution. How do I go about getting Windows 10 to boot?
