Existing AUR package not visible in aurweb? libjit-git

I am interested in trying libjit.
Not having found a PKGBUILD neither in the repos nor in the AUR, I compiled it manually and I decided to write a PKGBUILD.

So, as usual, I did:

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/libjit-git.git

but to my surprise, instead of cloning an empty repo, I got a PKGBUILD, pretty much exactly the one that I was about to write.
Supposing to have failed my search, I tried to buld libjit-git with an AUR helper, but again no package was found.

As much as I am happy to have a perfectly fine PKGBUILD, I am confused by the situation. Can someone explain what is going on here?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AU … s#Requests

After a package is deleted, its Git repository remains available in the AUR.

Is there a way for me to check the deletion request and reason?

If it was just orphaned and deleted, is it ok for me to adopt it and restore it?

Re: Existing AUR package not visible in aurweb? libjit-git

I had a quick look through AUR Requests but couldn't see any mention of libjit. I assume it was swept up in a semi-automated clean of the AUR. You should be fine updating the PKGBUILD and resubmitting it.
