Solved-[Termite] Cursor always block instead of underline?

Hi
I'm on Arch Bspwm and I have a problem with the termite terminal which always displays the cursor as block, even though I changed it to underline in the config file located in  .config/termite/config
this is the cusor option in the config file:

# "system", "on" or "off"
cursor_blink = system

# "block", "underline" or "ibeam"
cursor_shape = underline

Can someone help please?

Does either of those change the cursor?

printf '\x1b[\x33 q'
printf '\x1b[\x34 q'

Re: Solved-[Termite] Cursor always block instead of underline?

Well, I did some testing, and this works for me in ~/.config/termite/config:

[options]
cursor_shape = underline

However, if I copy and paste what you posted above into the config file, it does not work. So what's different? What you posted has some trailing whitespace after "underline", and if I remove that, it works. Add a space after "underline" and it fails again.

This may be an artifact of how you posted your code, but it might be the problem.

The space after "underline" was the problem! Thank you very much for the help!
