Firefox's GTK file chooser
By default on the newest (non-unstable/testing) firefox and gtk the filechooser includes dotfiles in it's listing. Is there any way to disable this behavior or make it toggleable?

I don't think that's the default. Anyway, right-click on the listing of files and uncheck Show Hidden Files. You must've checked at some point, whether in firefox or not.
