I have a good, reliable, networked laserjet that I use for my text needs, but I'm looking to get a photo printer for images and color documents. I hit up http://linuxprinting.org, and it generally seems to recommend Epson and HP printers. I've had some bad luck with HP (cheapo laserjets) in the past, but I'm willing to give them another shot. I was wondering if any Archers had photo printers that a) work with Linux and b) work *well* with linux . So... recommend away!

Try Canon Pixma iP1500 - it's cheap and has very easy to refill ink cartridges. Plus it can print photos without white margins at all. There is pixmaip1500 driver package in AUR, but I didn't test it.
