Getting Xbindkey Working

I installed Xbindkey via Pacman and created a config file in my home directory.

However, when I run "xbindkeys &", it exits immediately. It also exits when added to my .xinitrc.

What is the best way to get Xbindkeys loaded?

Re: Getting Xbindkey Working

isn't there a xbindkeys daemon in /etc/rc.d ?

Re: Getting Xbindkey Working

I just run it with `xbindkeys'. Works just fine if called from a terminal or from .xinitrc. You could try `xbindkeys -v' to see if it spits out any more informations.

Re: Getting Xbindkey Working

You are probably just thinking that it exits because it immediately brings you back to the command prompt. But try using it anyway and you will see that it IS loaded. It runs as a daemon.

(edit) Also there is no GUI if you were expecting to see something like that. There is a separate GUI program for configuring xbindkeys, however.
