Can't burn DVD

As per the title, i can't burn dvdr. Graveman or k3b if i tell them to burn one ask me for a dvdrw, and this is the output if i try to burn from command line, using growisofs

Well, my problem is quite different from the one discussed in that thread, 'cause i can't burn even as root.

I tried, in any case, as suggest, but it didn't change anything, i get always the same output sad

What kind of drive do you have?  I found a lot of drives these days have firmware issues, and a quick upgrade solves a lot of problems.  Tried doing that?
