custom keyboard shortcuts

Hi, I just installed arch and I'd really like to get this one thing working:

how can i define custom keyboard shortcuts, say I want a script to run when I press <ctrl><alt>T  ?

I defined a few shortcuts in GNOME but they are all predefined and I couldn't see how to point to custom apps like scripts.
Please share your thoughts  : )

Re: custom keyboard shortcuts

I'm using keytouch. It helps also for using the multimedia keys on some keyboards
It's in AUR

Re: custom keyboard shortcuts

I use xfce4. It has a nice "keybinding configuration menu" built in. (-> Settings -> Keyboard ...)

Haven't been here in a while. Still rocking Arch. smile

Re: custom keyboard shortcuts

KDE has key binding built in but I like xbindkeys because I can use the extra keys in my internet keyboard.

Re: custom keyboard shortcuts

While we're at it, is there also a tool which lets you bind mouse keys to act as a combination of keyboard/mouse keys?

E.g. I want to bind one of my mouse keys to act like Alt+Left mouse button (so I can use it to drag windows).

Is it possible?

Re: custom keyboard shortcuts

It is my understanding that xbindkeys lets you do that
but I have never used it myself with the mouse.

I have only ever used imwheel for tasks like that.

That almost works. Thing is I can't somehow "tell" imwheel to keep the simulated buttons pressed until I release the real one.

What a shame.
