docker.service breaks my i3 start!

This is a weird one! If I enable docker.service and reboot, instead of opening i3 (with xinitrc) like normal, it shows me a prompt. No error messages, systemctl starts docker no worries. I can then run startx to bring up i3, which is intact but missing zsh config as it shows default prompt in a terminal window.

Disable docker.service, reboot and tada, everything is back to normal... What's it doing? I'm thinking it has something to do with permissions... Journal tells me nothing...

Any ideas? Where should I look to get some clues?

Re: docker.service breaks my i3 start!

Perhaps the simplest would be to compare the permissions of the zsh configuration files before launching i3 (docker service enabled, after reboot), against those with the service disabled (normal running situation).

Another angle would be to check if there are logs (aside from the journal) written by whatever is initiated in the docker.service unit.

I do not have much exposure to docker, but some years back I did have it in my Arch box for a while. Nothing like this happened, though (WM was Xfce).
