Hi everyone,
I have a SriHome SH001 Webcam for the meeting online.
Previously it works, now it doesn't work and I don't understand why...

I don't think it's underpowered, how can I check it?
I tried different USB slot but it still doesn't work.
I try to plag the webcam to another archlinux pc and it works, it could be the uvcvideo kernel module?
On my main pc there isn't uvcvideo but on my laptop yes.

You can "modprobe uvcvideo" (it's what provides /dev/video0) but that's likely not doing anything because it's not loaded because of the USB error itfp.

110 is just "Timeout expired before the transfer completed"
Can you try to plug that thing into the usb3 hub?

The USB of my webcam is 2.0, I tried to plug it on a USB 3.0 but it show me the same error

I had hoped because USB3 usually provides higher current…
Do you use the same cable on the notebook and what's the "lsusb" output there?

Yes, It's the same USB port

What do you mean by "same usb port"? Do you use an external hub, a docking station etc?

No, I mean that on my laptop I have a port USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0.
But on my laptop it works

I isolation ot much. Are there also messages that the host adapter didn't respod or died?
And is this now on the laptop?
If the cam works nowhere, there's likely either a broken cable or the cam got fired…

May the system can't recognize the webcam, may that's a problem with the driver only when you try to start it? Because the webcam is found by the O.S.
May it's a uvcvideo issue ?
