How to get open source 3d driver for ati radeon?

Hi
I have a radeon7000 and I don't wanna use the fglrx driver. (ethical reasons...)
How can I install/use the free radeon driver?

pacman -Sy xf86-video-ati

then use the 'radeon' driver in xorg.conf

Then use:
Driver "radeon"
in the video card Device section of your xorg.conf
